RNCM Big Band

The RNCM big band is joined by one of Britain’s top jazz trumpet players, Steve Waterman. He celebrates the history of jazz through the compositions of trumpet greats such as Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke and Miles Davis. He will also play some original pieces which he wrote as a commission for The Voice of the North jazz orchestra. Influenced by his travels, these original works draw on tango, Cuban and calypso styles.
