Romans in Manchester
A classroom-based taught session lasting one hour led by an Education Officer. What was Roman Manchester like? What was life like for the soldiers in the fort? The class uses pictures and models of Castlefield from Roman times to the present day; replica items from a Roman soldier’s kit and archaeological finds help build up a picture of life in Mamucium.
