Primal Scream

The one thing that has remained constant throughout this Scottish rock band's history is drummer Bobby Gillespie's presence. The former Jesus and Mary Chain drummer formed the band in 1985 with Jim Beattie who has since left. The group have had Top Ten hits with 'Rocks/Funky Jam', 'Kowalski' and 'Country Girl'. The current line-up is Bobby Gillespie (drums), Gary 'Mani' Mounfield (bass) and touring guitarist Kevin Shields.

It was great to see this album performed in it's entirety, the only upset of the night is that Denise Johnson wasn't there to do 'don't fight it feel it' she's greatly missed (along with Throb)

'Ambient Elevator Music' - where is this elevator of which you speak ? If you've got one that plays music as joyful as the Scream knocked out both nights running on Saturday and Sunday, then I want a go in it !!
