2008's X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has been a perfect model of the show's producers' visions of what an X Factor winner should be, as opposed to victors such as Steve Brookstein, Leon Jackson, Joe McElderry and the others who have fallen off the radar. Her debut single Hallelujah was the 2008 Christmas number one, and became the overall best-selling single of that year. Maintaining that success, Burke has gone on to pick up MOBO and BRIT nominations, and has scored a number one album and two further number one singles. With her extremely catchy R'n'B-infused pop captivating hordes of popular music fans, Alexandra Burke shows no signs of becoming an X Factor ghost any time soon.
