La Clamenza di Tito

For one of his final operas, Mozart examined political and romantic intrigue with a compelling return to the opera seria form in this profound masterwork. Set in Rome at the time of the Emperor Titus, Mozart's score, to a libretto by Metastasio, exposes a world of intrigue where jealousy, guilt and doublecrossing are the order of the day.
