Les Miserables (On Tour)

A musical adapted from a novel by Victor Hugo. Ex-convict Jean Valjean is released on parole after 19 years on the chain gang, but finds himself an outcast in society. He meets the kindly Bishop of Digne and decides to start his life anew. The score includes the popular songs, 'I Dreamed a Dream', 'On My Own', ‘Stars’, ‘Bring Him Home’, ‘One Day More’, ‘Empty Chairs at Empty Tables’, ‘Master of the House’ and 'Do You Hear the People Sing'. Heading the cast is Broadway and West End star John Owen Jones, hailed by the New York Post as the best Jean Valjean since Colm Wilkinson; and West End stars Earl Carpenter as Javert and Gareth Gates as Marius. This production is directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell and designed by Matt Kinley, inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo. Original costumes are by Andreane Neofitou, lighting by Paule Constable and sound by Mick Potter.
