Having been a big Motown fan for more years than I care to admit too, this was a dream gig showcasing many of the labels finest moments.<br /> <br /> The Three Degrees are a bit lightweight but have some great ballads and dated disco tunes to get us in the mood. Similarly, The Drifters treat us to a few gems but these are only the warm-up acts.<br /> <br /> Who is best between the Four Tops and the Temptations has long been an intriguing pop question. Friendly rivalry down the years has kept the fire burning. My preference has always been for the Tops as they are indeed a much slicker outfit and really know how to work their audience with hit after hit. Same Old Song, Loco in Acapulco and Reach Out are three fine examples but there are many others.<br /> <br /> The Temptations also have some absolute classic songs with Get Ready, Ain't Too Proud To Beg and of course the marvellous My Girl - worth the admission price alone. However, they do lack the sparkle of the Tops and somebody should really tell them what not to wear! However, we had a great, nostalgic evening and went home very happy regailing our former youth from a bygone era. Come back soon!.<br />

Was there last night. and i thought it was a superb night. with 99% of the public up off their seats dancing and clapping alaong to the songs. i do agree with the review about The Four tops better than the Temptations. but it was still a most enjoyable night. and would recommend this gig to anybody else...<br />
