Best Special Entertainment
SO just what is 'special entertainment'? In the simplest terms, you could say it's a theatrical event which doesn't fit into any of the other categories, but which is so extraordinary we feel it would be seriously remiss of us not to acknowledge.
The nominations range from the Library's ingenious and captivating version of The Borrowers to the challenging but fascinating advent of Kabuki at The Lowry, and from Feelgood's entertaining outdoor version of Blue Remembered Hills to the intriguing IOU show, Cure, at Upper Campfield Market.
But the eventual winner was the extraordinary Cirque du Soleil show, Quidam, bringing some real magic to, of all places, the Trafford Centre.
