No Part Of: Socialism finds the stage
AFTER Johnny Vegas’ turn in the 2008 BBC Radio adaptation, there’s clearly something about 'The Ragged Trousered…' that just resonates with us hard working, harder done-by northerners.
The infamous book, an almost-never published, incendiary socialist tale of working class poverty, corrupt councillors and the exploitation and folly of Capitalism hails chillingly relevant to the current British political climate.
One of the 20th Century's landmark texts is adapted for today and directed by Tom Mclennan; commissioned by PCS for Unions 08 in Liverpool.
