Sally cashes in on bingo masterclass
A DAY learning the ropes of bingo turned out to be a day well spent for former Coronation Street favourite Sally Lindsay.
Sally headed to Mecca Bingo in Gorton for research purposes with her co-stars in the upcoming production of Everyone Loves a Winner at the Royal Exchange Theatre next month.
But Sally ended up being a winner herself – as I hear she scooped a £20 prize at the bingo hall.
My mole tells me: “The entire cast were at the hall for a bingo boot camp to learn the ropes of the game ahead of the new theatre production which is all about a bingo hall.
“They were playing alongside all the bingo regulars with their blobbers when Sally’s numbers came up.
“She was absolutely delighted, particularly because she was the only one of the cast to actually win anything.”
Audiences will get to emulate Sally’s winning streak at the Royal Exchange show, which runs from July 3 to 18, as plans are afoot for cash prizes to be won just as in real bingo.
