STOCK restaurant has fallen under my radar in recent times. Buzzy San Carlo may have swiped a few of its footballer customers, while Stock's own offshoot, Osteria Mauro, out at Mottram St Andrew, has possibly diverted the Mauro family's attentionmore

We visited Stock last night for a pre theatre meal. The food was ok, apart from the stale bread. The wine was excellent. The service was the worst we have encountered in Manchester in years
