This place is a gem - serving locally made beer ( also available in bottles to take away) exceptionally good home cooked food, generous in taste and portion, it has a wine list, regular events nights including a fantastic pub quiz on Wednesdays, friendly staff, and always a friendly, warm welcome. This pub is a good mood place. I love it - and so do many many others.<br />

I absolutely love the Wheatsheaf. It is a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The homecooking really is what it says and is gorgeous and very reasonably priced. Since the day the Wheatsheaf opened its doors it has been my favourite pub in Glossop. Either for just drinks, the pub quiz (on a Wednesday) and food.<br />

This recently re-opened old favourite in Glossop does not disappoint. Both Bob and Irene welcome all customers new and old. The food is excellent, all home cooked and locally sourced. From the snacks on the bar menu to the steaks on the main menu all the food is lovingly prepared and served by the friendly staff.Not forgetting the black board specials that change weekly from curries to homemade pies im sure you wont be disappointed. As for beer there are always three real ales on as well as your usual bitters and lagers. And for the whiskey drinkers out there try a wee dram of whiskey from a single malt to your more commercial brands from Bobs' whiskey corner. All in all the food and drink and the friendly welcome has always made me return to this friendly pub week after week.Well done and keep up the good work in these hard times!!!<br />
