One of the most interesting things is saw was 'Music of The Mind', where 4 musicians/scientists played a gig powered entirely by their brain waves. They linked up their heads' to technology which they developed, which reads their brin waves and converts them to sound. The scientists developed a method by which they control their thoughts to change the pitch of the sound. Pure genius.<br /> Also be sure to check out 'Keep it Unreal', the monthly residency of Manchester funk/jazz/soul DJ, Mr Scruff. One of Manchester's most under rated musicians!

Band on the Wall It is a very friendly and cosy venue with an amazing ambience. I might say that finally I found a place in the UK where I can go for a drink or a concert and feel at home. There are none of those annoying binge drinkers that are so common here in the UK. If you’re not careful you might stumble on one of these specimens while they are vomiting on the floor.<br /> <br /> Band on the Wall seems to be full of intelligent and civilized people. Thank God for that.

This is a totally unique venue with a long legacy of nurturing music in all its shapes and forms. It is a safe place for anybody who walks through it's door, it enjoys an international reputation and for many is a reason in itself to visit Manchester. It has an unparalleled education programme and is a major building block in the locality for the promotion of new talent.

Its great to have venues like this in Manchester as well as the big MEN arena because all bands need to play and experience venues like this in order to feel closer to their fans and build a rapport with existing fans and bring their music to new fans.Long may the Band on the Wall continue and give exposure to up and coming bands as well as established ones

I hear about it for the first time and it seems to be very good option for the night out! definitely I'm going to check it!

I went to the Meadows gig here last Friday and was not disappointed. £4m? Money well spent in my eyes.
