The Pack Horse has just been included in the AA Good Pub Guide 2011

The Pack was my favourite pub for many years, I even came here for lunch after I got married. The walks are lovely and the open fire in winter gives it a wonderful cosy atmosphere. I have not been for perhaps 4 years now due to having the worst meal of my life there along with lousy service and yorkshire puddings that looked like old vaginas, However it must have got better so will look forward to giving it another go.<br />

went to visit my daughter in hospital after giving birth to our second grand daughter, asked nurses for a nice pub to visit for lunch and was recommended The Pack Horse, they were not wrong, wow great views, great service and great food. Nice people and will definatly go again, thanks Carol and John. for making us all welcome at short notice.<br />

Lets hope that the winner of the next "Pub of the year" isn't a restaurant!<br />

Surely this is an odd add for Manchester pub of the year when you consider there's other papers nearby. Very odd...<br />

Monday nights mens darts, football, bridle path club. Tuesday night ladies darts, Rotory Club and Vintage car club, Thursday night sign language classes and the weekly quiz.<br /> <br /> Book exchange,plenty of competitons, always plenty going on at the Pack Horse great food and drink and things to do. <br />

Just got home after a day at the Pack Horse Inn. Booked a table for 12.00 and as we arrived the kids got to sign up for the Easter egg hunt. Had starters and in the break the kids went in for the Easter bonnet parade then mains and deserts and out for the 2nd performance of the Pace egg play by Rochdale Curtain Theatre Players then had to join the kids in getting their faces painted. Hoping to get grandma to babysit tonight so we can nip back for the art exhibition. Great Day, Pub packed but fantastic service and a great atmosphere. Well done all staff and managers (I think the landlady must have been on rollerskates as she appeared to be everywhere at once) <br />

This is the first pub where I can say all ages fit, theres toys and books for the little ones, puzzles, competitions and books for any one to keep them selves occupied whilst waiting for friends. Great service really polite staff and the ladies toliets are brill. Great food and drink a tryly all round family pub where they bend over backwards to make sure you have a good time. <br />

live music was great they do not have it often but when they do its quality. The whole night was fantastic, food ,service and company. Well done <br />

Things have changed since the new managers took over Monday nights, mens darts dominos and crib also 6 a side football team. Tuesday nights ladies darts night, Thursday Quiz night with free supper great night plenty of competition though. Regular music nights and plenty of things going on along with great food and drink. Come and join us <br />
