Since taking over in March 2008, the owners Gary Davey, Ian Carr and Terry Furlong have totally refurbished the pub originally built in around 1717 to a very high standard incorporating a lovely restaurant which has a wonderful ambience for a great night out with family and friends.
The landlord, Ian Carr together with the rest of the front of house staff are on hand to make your dining experience a pleasurable one.
Our team of highly qualified Chefs led by Martin Jones and assisted by his experienced sous chef Mark Britt, have created a menu that incorporates both classic pub dishes together with exciting specials, there is something to suit all tastes and we pride ourselves on giving our customers that restaurant quality and service at pub prices. We use local fresh produce which is all cooked fresh to order, our local butcher in Uppermill, Saddleworth provides us with all our high quality meats.
We also have a selection of fine wines from around the world available to complement your meal.
