Congratulations John and the team you deserve to be in the top 3. The pub is getting better and better, it's always friendly, and has a great clientele who even make outsiders feel welcome, one of the cleanest in Eccles, the best beer garden and a landlord who listens to what customers wants. Well done, you deserve it.<br />

A great local pub both through the week and at weekends. Landlord is very friendly and if there is something he hasn't got, he always tries to get it in stock as soon as he can. The beer garden is stunning in the summer, the pub is always clean and tidy and now the live music every Friday is back on i'm really looking forward to losing some weekends in there ;o)<br />

Very nice pub, better than the ones in the centre of eccles as they are quite rough but the d@p is always got a good atmosphere, good music, an love the beer garden , with all the bbqs very nice for the summer weather ! :)<br />

One of the things I love about this pub is the effort they make with the decorations to celebrate events. I've even used the bin bag idea for one of my own halloween parties ;o)<br />

Not been in the area for a while but did love going out in Eccles (apart from some of the rough area near the centre). Glad a couple of my old haunts are in the top 10 and look forward to coming back for a few drinks soon, especially in this weather<br />

The d&p is a warm friendly pub an it has one of the best beer gardens for summertime drinking!! :) <br />

the Dog is still open even though someone started a rumour it was closing, local pub for local people. the younger people have thier pubs and the older one have the Dog. lets all start going and enjoy the live music star ing on March 26th<br />

The management are always helpful and friendly, there is a warm atmosphere without the fear of a fight breaking out like in some pubs in Eccles and serves a great beer. Starting live music and themed nights again so hopefully be rocking back to it's old self just as the summer arrives ;o)<br />
