I 've used this pub for 50 years or more and never had a arguement ,considering its in a back street of Piccadilly, and home pub for the Manchester City Supporters (of whom I am not one of them lot) But the beer flows and the banter is great From Les the landlord to Marie his wife and Joan the barmaid the service is good, the food is only on at lunchtime ,but thats good too, its pleasent , friendly and accomadating Give it a visit you'll enjoy it<br />

If you like your pubs rough and ready then this is the place for you. I recently visited this place with an old friend who hadn't been to Manchester in years. He instantly fell in love with the place as it's a great example of what all pubs used to be like before Manchester had it's extensive make over. I remember my Dad taking me into many pubs just like this as I grew up and although it's good to embrace the modern, it'll always be necessary to have at least some souvenirs from these era. <br /> <br /> Beer, atmosphere and general friendliness are all on tap here. <br />
