Band on the Wall is Manchester's legendary live music venue where many of the city's most famous bands such as Joy Division, Buzzcocks, The Fall, Simply Red and even Bjork performed some of their very first gigs.

Now, following a £4 million refurbishment and fantastic new facilities, the club has become the perfect choice for a great night out in Manchester city centre: 

Live Music The historic auditorium has been transformed into one of the city’s most sophisticated, intimate and friendly concert spaces presenting a world-class programme of live music by artists from every genre in new comfortable surroundings. 

Clubbing Every month we present the city's best clubbing such as the legendary Mr Scruff's Keep It Unreal, the classic drum ‘n bass night Soul:ution, the best of UK Funky at Curve and Step Up! which features live performances and DJsets. 

Food & Drink Our new Picturehouse Cafe Bar features delicious food and guest beers and real ales, as well as a live music programme. Its open late and entries free so check it out next time you're out on the town. 

Courses & Participatory Events Want to develop your music, singing and dancing skills? We provide courses throughout the year and there's something for everyone. 

Private Hire The great news is you can now hire the venue for your own function, conference or reception.
