1 / 1 imagesSteve Pilling - toasting his 2006 award

CITYLIFE is delighted to welcome back Steve Pilling, the Godfather of much that is good in Manc food.

Steve, who received and outsatnding achievement award from the CityLife.co.uk manchester Food and Drink Festival in 2006, has re-emerged to run Damson at 113 Heaton Moor Road (0161 432 46660).

He describes the 50-cover premises, formerly a wine bar, as a 'neighbourhood restaurant with a trio of chefs among the best I've worked with'.

Which is praise indeed from someone who nurtured the likes of Robert Owen Brown at the city centre chophouses, Sam's and Mr Thomas's. Expect simiilar style food at Damson.... and waistcoats?
