Night & Day

NORTHERN Quarter institution Night & Day will celebrate its 17th birthday this winter with the help of old and new faces on the city's music scene.

Kickstarting the celebrations on November 27 will be I Am Kloot's Johnny Bramwell.

He's be followed on November 28 by adopted son, Stephen Fretwell.

The Scunthorpe-born, Manchester-based troubadour forged his early reputation at the Oldham Street venue before LPs Magpie and more recently, Man On The Roof, brought him to a wider audience.

The third day of the three-night bash will see one of Manchester's hottest new bands, indie-dance kids Delphic, attempt to build on the smattering of positive press they've received to date.

All three acts will be joined by special guests before DJs guide the crowds into the early hours.

Johnny Bramwell plays Night & Day on Thursday, November 27. £12.50. Stephen Fretwell plays Friday, November 28. £12.50. Then Delphic play on Saturday, November 29. £5. Call 0161 832 1111.
