Come on you Stockport beers!
STOCKPORT Beer and Cider Festival must be one of the only festivals where you can sit in a football stand supping your real ale.
It’s one of the reasons why the festival is so popular and this year’s takes place from May 28-30.
The venue, of course, is Stockport County and Sale Sharks’ ground in Edgeley Park, and there's more than 100 beers, ciders and perries to sup.
Opening times: Thursday 5.30-11pm, Friday 11.30am-3.30pm and 5.30-11pm, Saturday 11.30am-4pm and 6.30-11pm.
Musical entertainment is provided at most sessions and there’s hot and cold food. Saturday night is St Trinians fancy dress night. Don’t worry it’s optional.
Free entry for Camra members, admission charges of between £2 and £4 for others, although it’s free for all on Friday lunchtime.
