Blink and you'll miss Delphic gig
POPPING into a pop-up bar is rapidly becoming the hippest way to socialise.
Long the hangouts of those in the know in the capital thanks to joints like the Double Club, the good folks in the Northern Quarter will be aiming to build on the success of their last temporary venture, The Northern Pole Bar, with the appropriately monikered, Blink.
Situated beneath city shopping institution Affleck’s Palace, revellers will be given an early peak of what’s in store on Saturday when they venue lays on a night of live music, headed by indie-dance upstarts, Delphic.
The Manchester quartet will launch their new single and BBC 6Music favourite, Counterpoint, with the show supported y DJs Ewan Pearson, The Chain and Will Tramp.
Tickets for Delphic are on sale for £8 and can be bought online from www.ticketline.co.uk.
Set to launch for real on May 1, Blink it set to span the bulk of the summer with a 10-week, 20-night programme.
In-house DJ Veba will be heading up an all-star line-up of national and regional DJs and nights, including Manchester’s own All Day Breakfast.
