THE good people over at Sandbar are planning to make good use of their newly refurbished events space by hosting a variety of nights and workshops.
Music, illustration, installation and cabaret will all be represented by an array of workshops and events aimed at getting artists together to create, discuss, perform and socialise.
Music wise the schedule includes the long running Sandbar Jazz every Tuesday, Sandbar Sessions, a jam session in association with RNCM Union (November 26) and the launch of local band The Maerlock's new album on November 19.
Among other interesting events are the informal illustration workshop run by Manchester Comix Collective (November 23), the cabaret night Mondo Marveloso (every fourth Monday) and Startrunning (November 30), a night dedicated to interdisciplinary arts.
All in all it seems Sandbar is looking to provide space and get people involved in arts in the heart of Manchester.
