Harrops

Harrops was opened in October. The premises were formally an empty shop which the owners have converted into a small but well appointed venue. Opening the bar was the idea of three players from Dukinfield Rugby Club although the theme is definitely not rugby oriientated. The concept was to provide entertainment in a relaxed safe atmosphere catering for the more mature customer. As an added bonus Harrops boasts a unique cocktail menu which is a must to try. All Major sporting events can be seen on the large screen projection TV and a good atmosphere is always guaranteed. Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons have recently seen the addition of live music. Rather than the usual artists we have seen on the bar circuit Harrops has made a point of encouraging new young talent in conjunction with the website Tameside unsigned. Up and coming singers and bands play a wide range of music and styles in an attemppt to hone there act and hopefully go on to bigger things. Who knows you may hear the next "Oasis" first in Harrops. It is a testament to the management commitment that you will find one or all of the partners in the bar when you call. This has created the atmosphere of your friendly local where you can call for that hard eraned end of week drink. Harrops is open Thursday at 7.00pm until Monday at 2.00am. Call in soon and you will see for yourself Harrops is not your usual town centre venue. Its Better!
