McFly

The Radio:ACTIVE tour was amazing. Fantastic crowd participation the guys created and although they were very ill, McFly didn't sound it at all (apart from when they spoke). Their voices were brilliant, perhaps at almost the best I've heard them, and yes, they were live!A great set list of hits and new album tracks was all fun, but the best thing had to be their B Stage. The guys flew (quite lowly) over the crowd on a second stage with a see-through bottom before landing towards the back of the arena, always thoughtful, wanting everyone to get a bit up close and personal! There was a breif moment when prankster Dougie Poynter, basist of the band, dressed as a Steward in the arena and put on a George Bush mask, then walked past me at the end of my row, but me having no clue it was him at all thought he was a nutter. I hope I didn't get caught on the camera being held up at him (unknowingly) at the time! Finally, a 13 year old think's she's outgrown them? McFly are very underated, I feel songs like their newest (Do Ya) show McFly at their worst. The bnoys do know how to rock, and their album tracks show it. Check out Down Goes Another One. Powerful lyrics and a powerful song that if another band would have sang would be hailed as the leaders in music! Your 13 year old daughter could be going into the awuful trend of listening to high voiced dance remix music, so I'd watch out! Around me at the concert stood a guy in his 20s, a woman in her late 20s, a few 15-16 year olds and behind some girls about 18-19. It does differ wherever you sit though, young lads, young girls, teen boys, men, women, teen girls. Don't be put off by this review - it hasn't fairly described the concert. Especially not from someone's point of view who had seats on the floor of the arena!
