Slug & Lettuce in Didsbury is amazing, the food is excellent and the service is second to none. Our waitress was very efficient & made our visit very enjoyable. Autumn cheer in Stockport

I followed Mr Booths advice on a bottle of 2006 Vina Mocen, Viura/verdejo from Loire sauvignon blanc probably the best white wine area in Spain nice and crisp ideal for white fish.

Yes valid point Howard I've recently tried out a Argento Malbec 2007 Mendoza as recommended by 'Majestic Wine' it has Ripe bramble and spicy blackberry notes on the nose and with hints of vanilla oak and balanced acidity on the finish is quite a versatile drink and good with fish but better with red meat. Also Cono Sur Merlot 2007 Colchagua Valley. A serious merlot from a very progessive Chilean winery. Intense ruby red, plum and green pepper-like red with a smooth finish. I think there is alot to be said for South American wine.

Elbow and Puppets to join forces?

Paul McGrath wrote: 1 year 6 months

Hey sounds interesting, those 2 young lads from the puppets have got a lot of talent between them and I remeber at delamere Elbow had an 'assasin' guitarist that came on and play some coll surf guitar that was quite similar to the 50's-60's sound of the puppets and it worked really well with Elbow too.
