I'm sorry folks, I can't believe you've missed Earth Cafe, the selections of Tea available are brilliant, whilst the cakes on offer are amazing. Secondly I think that Oklahoma deserves a loud mention as the seating arrangements are eclectic and varied, yet still charming. Whilst I love N&D with a passion, since it's no longer cool to smoke inside I'm afraid Earth Cafe wins, unless you fancy buying some novelty post-it notes in Oklahoma.

An institution in itself, the whiskey/whisky/bourbon selection, the drama of the difficult monthly quiz, the jam-packed-ness on a Friday after work. Somewhere everyone visiting Manchester should go to, I always take tourists here, and have had far too many Cumberland (Jennings) myself on more than one occasion. Suitable for a winter warmer by the fire, or a summer swift one in the beer garden, You've got to love the Britons
