Well i for one thought Wayne Sleep was excellent ,swifly changing between comic and sinister as well as drumming up some audience participation.
Samantha Barks though showed her lack of acting experience although she can certainly has a fine pair of lungs.

Ms Bourne you,r e a prude.for focusing your review on the female nudity on show. There was plenty of scantily clad men on the screen too.My girlfriend wasn,t offended in the least and found it all good fun.
This was a superb show.Excellent singing and the most entertaining concert i for one have ever been too.
Eric Clapton

I wasn,t a big fan of the Blues and definately not a Clapton fan and I didn,t really understand why this man is held in such high esteem ..Apart from a few songs, to me ,he seems largely uncommercial.
So i went along last night with my "Clapton Fan" girlfriend and I finally understood.Anybody that can make a guitar talk like he can ,mostly with his eyes literally closed ,scores highly in my book.
4/5

Great to see him in such a small venue.
He took the micky out of Scousers,Mancs, bouncers and people with fake tans, but no one left offended.
A great night.

A gritty northern comedy drama with catchy tunes and audience participation .
A fun way to spend an evening.

Giving this show only 4 stars is a travesty !!
The best show i,ve seen at the M E N .
No flashy set, just talent mixed with great harmonies.
5 stars !!!
The Killers

The Killers need to sack someone on the their sounddecks before they get a reputation for bad sound at their gigs.
The sound was the worst i have ever ever witnessed at any gig anywhere !! It ruined my night.

Don,t let the poor script or plot put you off seeing this.
The star of the show is the music. When did you last go to a musical that had 24 good songs in it ?
The sound was superb
West Side Story

Fine performances by the leads playing Tony and Maria and of course many great songs. Some weak performances by two or three of the cast though letting the side down !
This wasn,t a patch on last years Evita at The Palace Theatre with Louise Dearman in the role ,which this production of West side story beat into first place in the theatre awards as the best musical .
It just goes to show that liking a show is all down to personal taste and it leaves me doubting the taste of the award judges.!
