MANCHESTER'S rejuvenated techno scene reaches another climax on Friday, October 17, with a terrific line-up at Sankeys – Sequence.
With a heap of underground and electronica parties springing up around the city it’s good to see that a veteran like Sequence can still cut it.
Andrew Weatherall heads up a night that includes Detroit’s Omar S, Viewlexx’s Legowelt and great local support from Detroit Public Radio, Jay Knight, Computer Controlled DJs and KBeard from The Beards.
Sequence bows out on November 21 with a last line-up to be proud off.
Surgeon, Altern 8, Marcell Dettman and DMX Krew kick things off with local support from Mark Turner, Rob Hall and Computer Controlled DJs.
Five years, it would seem, is enough for promoter Steve Gravener and pals and they’re itching to move on to pastures new. Expect more electronic madness in 2009.
Or so they promise.

Shame to see Sequence ending, but the last 2 line ups are great. I'm particularly excited about seeing Omar S, and Legowelt is in a different league to everybody else in dance music at the moment.
