TCR’s 15th birthday bash

AFTER a very respectable first night over at The Ruby Lounge last month Steve Thorpe’s new night Carry On ramps things up a bit this weekend by hosting a 15th birthday bash for Rennie Pilgrem’s genre-defining breaks label TCR taking place on Friday night.
Tangled’s former breakbeat resident Thorpe has lured Koma & Bones to his fledgling night to showcase their electro breaks sound.
They’ll also be digging in the crates to deliver a classic breaks set exploring the best of the scene since 1993.
They’re joined by Australian Rob Reng who’ll be peddling his uniquely Aussie brand of breaks that takes in a funkier scene with rock influences. Championed by Tayo, Reng is one to watch.
