Sinderfella

Sinderella - It\'s not for the easily offended ... Sinderella - It's not for the easily offended ...

Feeling risque this Christmas? SG Production's 'panto with balls' Sinderfella might be just up your street.

But be warned, this adult panto is not for the faint-hearted or easily offended. We're helpfully reminded as we take our seats that the performance was strictly produced

for adults only, and that if we don't enjoy the humour - "you can **** off."

The story starts with the Fairy Gone Wong, played by Thai Big Brother contestant Kathreya Kasipo, outlying the traditional plot of Cinderella.

However, disaster strikes when the Disney star lets down the theatre at the last minute - because she's performing in the Opera House with 'that Louie Spence'. The compere drag queen, the fabulous Miss Thunderpussy (Scott Houston) bravely steps into the role, but bears a dark secret that threatens to ruin her chances with the trouser-snaked lothario, Prince Donkey **** of Salford (played by the animated Matthew Greenwood).

What comes next is an evening of camp, crass and often hilarious entertainment, with enough potty-mouthed jokes and sexual innuendos to make the cast of the Carry On movies look bashful.

Despite a slow start, the energy and enthusiam of the performers in this small venue soon reaps the rewards, with everybody joining in - well, once some lucky audience members get over the shock of being molested by the manly Ugly Sisters, Gaga (acted by Simon Gross) and Rihanna (Dale Vickers).

In the second half the diverse audience is up dancing in the aisles to Canal Street classics such as Dancing Queen, Like A Virgin and It's Raining Men, and joining in with the rude panto catch-lines.

There were cock-ups (excuse the pun), with wigs falling off and lines forgotten, but such was the friendly atmosphere in the theatre that it really didn't matter. An entertaining night, and one you won't forget in a hurry.
