Revolution
Revolution
Parsonage Gardens, city centre
September 2010
Overall: 3/5
Of all the four Revolution bars in Manchester, the Parsonage Gardens venue is the most central, yet also the most tucked away.
It’s situated on a quiet corner overlooking the gardens, just off the city’s strip of corporate bars on Deansgate.
Even if it’s not a planned destination on your night out, it’s a place you often end up.
Typical of the UK-wide vodka-centric chain bars, its relaxed approach, across the board quality, and value-for-money food, cocktails, pitchers and shots make it an accessible bar equally for daytime lunches or full-on nights out.
The interior isn’t as polished as its local Revolution siblings, but that’s a sign of its age and heavy footfall.
The bar has been a regular stop for Deansgate drinkers for almost six years and there has been continual improvements to the interior and new options on the menu – signifying why operator Inventive Leisure is so successful.
More recently the eclectic interior has been livened by a feature wall of monochrome wallpaper, and new leather button-backed seats.
There is plenty of space to dance and no shortage of seating options, including a private Stoli Snug.
In time for returning students, mid-September will see the introduction of 3D menus at Revolution.
Buy a Privilege loyalty card for £4 and on top of special discounts you’ll receive a free pair of 3D glasses for enhanced menu reading and TV watching.
