Rehearsal
I FIND myself struggling to find the words to explain this play. I sat among the small crowd gathered in the Taurus bar and listened to the often indecipherable words of Clive Bonelle and Alan Koegh.
While trying to understand what was being said, I realised I was barely understanding the plot.
Though I have to award the two actors for their bravery in performing alone, and their ability to warrant a slight chuckle from the audience, I found that there were elements that were very distracting.
Midway through their scenes, for example, they had to re-adjust their own lighting setup.
Long pauses
This seemed rather unnecessary it didn’t add anything to the play. There were also a lot of long pauses.
I do not want to be unfair to the actors as they did perform the play to its possible best; the storyline however, had much to be desired as it lacked any real intensity or drama.
Sorry, but this one wasn't for me.
