Emotional Rainbows

AN enthused atmosphere welcomed the audience as eight ground breaking poets, took us on a journey with a full spectrum of passion. 

Emotions certainly ran high in the ‘Romance’ section; exploring both the first touches of love, and the strong sensation of hatred as a relationship ends.

The audience was filled with intrigue as we entered ‘Society’. Cleverly written lyrics told the story of a victim of drugs, describing his addiction as “nose candy” and “dancin’ dust.”

Our final stop was ‘Humour,’ once more filled with witty, fast paced stanzas, full of structure and comic genius, especially a certain poem from the point of view of a lawn.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the night’s performance which positively dared to remove existing opinions on so many aspects.

In each place the audience travelled to we were met by lyrical intellect both in the poems and the inspirational songs, as if each line had been specifically thought about and has subsequently left a “pallet of colour” in the mind of the audience.
