Shania Twain - Don't (Mercury)
SULTRY Canadian songstress Shania Twain seems to have mellowed after 10 years of yeah-haés and hoe-downs.
This new single is the polar opposite of pop gem Man! I Feel Like A Woman, with Twain pulling the heartstrings with a tender and delicate ballad.
It is truly inoffensive, but thatés hardly blinding news - Twain has made a career out of soppy music.
But while ités quite easy to hate everything about this record - the flat vocal performance, irritating guitars and the lack of atmosphere - Twainés target audience will no doubt lap it up.
