Kasabian - Self-titled (Paradise)

IF you take Kasabian and group them with Franz Ferdinand, Spoon, The Killers and Interpol, youéve got the beginnings of a new music school thatés learned and integrated every important lesson of 20th Century rock né roll.

Kasabianés self-titled album is a flawless and smooth-rolling conglomeration of indie rock based on traditional chord structures complemented by electronics, which by now have become a gimmick-less convention.

Thereés a lot of Oasis in there, but also plenty of early seventies-style prog-rock.

But also, some Stone Roses, the Beatles, 60s Woodstock-era psychedelica and more than a little Beck é everything you could possibly want and some things you didnét know you wanted.

What do you think? Have your say.

Released September 6, 2004.
