Oh yes it is that time again already

JUST when we think it's behind us for another year, news reaches me that next year's pantomimes are already on sale and, apparently, doing very well.

No sooner has the tinsel and Christmas tree been packed away than tickets for the next run of pantos are already selling like hotcakes - and that's without a single celebrity booked to appear in the shows yet.

Oldham Coliseum is showing Jack and the Beanstalk from November 24 this year till January 12 2008 and has already sold almost 30 per cent of its capacity for the show.

Tickets are also selling well for Dick Whittington at The Lowry, which runs from Friday December 7 this year till Sunday, January 6 2008.

And the story's the same across town at the Opera House where tickets are available for Cinderella - running from December 6 till January 6 next year. It follows from a record-breaking year of panto sales in the region.

Seems like we can't get enough of a good thing eh?
