Channel M special for Meteronomy

CHANNEL M's music team has established itself as a bit of a tour de force in its commitment to bringing the newest strands of musical talent to the city.

With The Great Northern Music Show and City Centre Social already at the forefront for bands who want a peg up in the industry, the gang are returning to the ever-popular Night & Day Café in the Northern Quarter on Saturday, April 12, with a full show featuring a line-up of class acts including Metronomy, Super Fresh Power Squad, Dutch Uncles (formerly Headlines) and The Cordels.

Hosted by Gerry McLaughlin, Manchester's own Jools Holland, each act will be recorded live on the night and feature in the following weeks on Channel M in individual profile-style sets entitled 15 Minutes Of...

Headlining act Metronomy is the brainchild of disillusioned drummer, Joseph Mount, who writes and records along with Gabriel Stebbings on bass and Oscar Cash on the melodica.

Supporting is Super Fresh Power Squad, who've recently appeared on Channel M's City Centre Social and, apparently, already been approached by The Might Boosh to do some supports.

Tickets are available from Zavvi, Night & Day, ticketline.co.uk or by following the links on the Channel M website (channelm.co.uk) or Night & Day website.
