The Kid is back

OH! What A Night's back, again, which will be good news for the army of fans who've made this six-year-old Manchester-originated seventies show one of the big touring hits - a hit not only over here but also Down Under, where it played Melbourne and Sydney.

This year began with a sold-out tour of Denmark and it's also been seen on TV across Europe.

For those who haven't experienced it yet: Oh! What A Night, is set in a New York disco in the mid-1970s.

There's a plot, of sorts, that you really don't need to know about because it's not much more than an excuse for an energetic company of singer/dancers to launch into 36 seventies hits, everything from I Will Survive to YMCA.
 
The almost-legendary Kid Creole is still strutting his stuff as DJ Brutus T Firefly, joined this time around by Hazel Payne, formerly with A Taste Of Honey, whose hit single, Boogie Oogie Oogie, features in the show.

OH! What A Night is at the Manchester Opera House on Monday, December 1 to Saturday, December 6.
