Kids go musical for charity bash

A HOST of songs from famous musicals will be given the 'youth touch' this weekend, when school children from all over the country take to the Palace Theatre stage.

Stars For Tonight 2003, will see children ranging from four to 18-years-old performing a mixture of dance, drama and song.

Executive producer Natalie Woods, said: "The format for the evening is a variety performance from various well known musicals including Grease, Oklahoma, Oliver and Miss Saigon.

"The show is nearly here and rehearsals are going great."

All proceeds from the event go to Didsbury's Francis House Children's Hospice, which has been in the news in recent years thanks to the courage of Kirsty Howard and her appeal.

Stars For Tonight 2003 takes place at the Palace Theatre on Saturday, September 27 at 7pm. Tickets are priced £16 for adults and £10 for under-16s. Call Ticketmaster on 0870 060 1768 or click here to buy online.
