Lord of the Flies returns to Lowry

NOMINATED on its last tour for a Manchester Evening News Theatre Award, Pilot Theatre Company's acclaimed stage version of Lord Of The Flies is touring for the fourth year running from Tuesday (September 25) at The Lowry.

Originally written by Nobel and Booker Prize winning author William Golding, the story follows a group of schoolboys who crash onto a deserted island.

Soon they learn that only the strong survive in their perilous situation and vicious games degenerate into savage tribal wars.

The stage adaptation for Pilot, who also received widespread acclaim for their version of RumbleFish, is by Nigel Williams, writer of The Wimbledon Poisoner and Class Enemy.

It runs at The Lowry from Tuesday until October 6.
