Cornerhouse date for critic legend

FILM buffs will be able to test their knowledge with the launch of a monthly movie quiz at the Cornerhouse Cinema.

And the quiz, sponsored by digital film channel TCM, starts with an invite-only event hosted by film critic extraordinaire, Barry Norman.

I'm told teams from some of Manchester's biggest companies will be fighting it out at the exclusive launch next month - so there could be a few reputations at stake - not least the M.E.N.'s film critic, Kevin Bourke, who will be on one of the teams on the night.

Then, the first official TCM Film Quiz - open to all-comers - will start on February 20 at 8pm.
