Jordan up for book award
The Eurovision wannabe has been nominated alongside Bill Clinton and Sheila Hancock for best biography, for her book Being Jordan.
Paul Gascoigne's autobiography My Story is up for the Sports Book of the Year with Kelly Holmes: My Olympic Ten Days.
The former England footballer joked today: "It's about the only time I stand a chance of beating Kelly."
Other nominees in the sports category are gold medal rower Matthew Pinsent and rugby World Cup winning coach Sir Clive Woodward.
Former Tory leader William Hague could also be in line for a prize for History Book of the Year, for his biography of William Pitt the Younger.
Actress Sheila Hancock is also up for Author of the Year for her memoir The Two of Us: My Life with John Thaw.
Dan Brown's surprise best-seller The Da Vinci Code, Michael Palin's Himalaya and Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time are some of the six books up for the WH Smith Book of the year.
Brown is also up for Author of the Year at the awards, hosted by Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.
Hollywood star Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are nominated for TV and Film Book of the Year for their story of their 18,478 mile motorbike trip Long Way Round.
The 16th Annual British Book Awards take place on April 20 at the Grosvenor House hotel, Park Lane.
