Quo set to rock city once more

STATUS Quo will make a triumphant return to the city on Friday after last year's traditional festive tour was pulled when guitarist Rick Parfitt was hit by a suspected throat cancer blow.

The veteran rocker was thankfully given the all-clear though when a biopsy confirmed two growths found on his larynx were benign, before being removed.

At the time a relieved Parfitt described the news as "the best Christmas present that I could possibly have".

Buoyed by this great news, the group will play the M.E.N. Arena to promote their latest release, Just Doin' It, an all-encompassing DVD and CD boxset.

Expect to hear classics like Rockin' All Over The World, Caroline and Down Down as well as few covers and newer tracks.
