Bolton date for Elton John

ROCKET Man Sir Elton John plays a spectacular concert at Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium on Sunday night.

Elton has promised an evening of his greatest hits for the concert on June 5.

Commenting on the summer signing, club chairman Phil Gartside said: "We are delighted to be welcoming one of the biggest names in music to Bolton."

The rock legend will be warmly remembered by soccer fans after he presented Wanderers with the Sherpa Van Trophy in 1989. Bolton beat Torquay United 4-1 in the final of the competition.
