McFly to land at Arena again

"MANCHESTER'S my favourite place. I miss the countryside, the lovely Bolton countryside," muses 20-year old Danny Jones, one quarter of teen-rock sensation McFly and a proud Boltonian.

"We've all just moved house and now live on the same street in Watford. Me and Dougie live next door to each other and Tom's a door down."

Poor, homesick Danny.

Still, he might get a chance to revisit his old stomping ground this weekend as he and his fresh-faced cohorts Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd kick off their two-night stand at the M.E.N. Arena tonight.

Perfect

The seven-date stadium tour is proving to be the perfect showcase for the band's latest album - Motion In The Ocean, released November 6 - and the boys are hoping for another number one hit to add to the long list.

The fans, meanwhile, will no doubt be crossing their fingers for spills, thrills and a repeat of the on-stage striptease that ensued at London's G-A-Y nightclub when McFly's charity single, Please Please/Don't Stop Me Now, topped the charts earlier this year.

And they might get their wish; Danny is sure the audience will lap up the new LP.

He said: "We're in the last bits of recording with the new album, we worked with a new producer and we're really pleased with it. It's epic! It's a work of art!"

McFly play the M.E.N. Arena on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7, 2006. Tickets are é21.50. To book call 0870 060 1768 or click here to book online.
