Twain heading for Manchester

SHANIA Twain, one of the world's top-selling female singers, has booked a date at the Manchester Evening News Arena.
The Canadian star, who once described Manchester as "the Venice of the north" because of its many canals, is at the M.E.N. Arena on Thursday, February 24, 2004.

Country singer Shania, 37, married to rock producer Mutt Lange, is the biggest-selling female artist ever.

Her 1997 album Come on Over sold a staggering 34 million copies.

Such is her popularity, contestants on the BBC show Fame Academy were overwhelmed when she offered them advice and performed with them.

On her last visit to Manchester for an exclusive M.E.N. interview she was determined to enjoy her stay.

Tickets for the M.E.N. Arena concert, priced £38.50 and £48.50, are on sale now. Call 0870 060 1768 or visit the website below.
