Glassjaw tour cancelled

GLASSJAW have been forced to cancel their tour after vocalist Daryl Palumbo was struck down by illness.

The frontman was rushed to hospital on Thursday, suffering a serious relapse of Crohnés Disease.

The band had been due to play Manchester on Saturday, and this date along with dates in Glasgow, Wolverhampton and London - part of the K-Fest tour - have been postponed.

As yet, there is no news whether the band will be able to reschedule these dates.

Asheley Bird, editor of Kerrang said: éWe are obviously bitterly disappointed that Glassjaw have had to pull out of their planned K! Fest tour of the UK - they are one of the most exciting young bands in the world right now. But our thoughts are really with Daryl Palumbo.

éI know that he and his band absolutely adore their UK fans and were really excited about playing here again, so for Daryl's Crohn's Disease to force another tour cancellation will have been a bitter blow for them, and Daryl in particular. We wish Daryl all the best and hope we will see Glassjaw on a UK stage again as soon as he is fully recovered.é
