Must see: Stitch & Creative Crafts Show 2010

Manchester Central - September 3 to 5, 2010

With the kids back in school, you might find yourself twiddling your thumbs of an afternoon looking for an  alternative creative outlet now there’s no one around to build tents and imaginary worlds with.

Turn off the sludge on daytime TV and step away from the feather duster, because today the Stitch & Creative Crafts Show opens at Manchester Central for three days of crafty ideas.

With the first hints that Christmas is coming already in the adverts, now could be the perfect time to discover how to make beautiful gifts and cards for friends and family.

Pineapple Dance Studios founder and fashion brand owner Debbi Moore is lined up to give a workshop, as is Ideal World’s Create and Craft presenter Stephanie Weightman.

Make & Take sessions, advice centres, live demonstrations and competitions run across the many stands, and there’s a whole host of stuff on sale to make you better sewers, knitters, scrapbookers, beaders, cross-stitchers and designers.

£7.50/£6.50/under-16s free. Book via sccshows.co.uk for a £2 discount using code PR1.
