Manchester Strings is an ensemble of virtuoso musicians delivering music of the highest level. All its sixteen members, for the past decade, have been intensively trained at The Royal Northern College of Music, in order to bring to the world the vitality, poise and authenticity that the music assets.

It all began earlier this year when Esen-Nikolas Gjylaci, an RNCM graduate, imagined how satisfying it would be to have an orchestra which would be able to deliver and provide quality music to smaller communities throughout the UK.

Combining forces with an anonymous donor and spending countless weeks on research, seeking purity and authenticity in music, Nikolas’ vision was becoming more clear and the first steps on forming Manchester Strings were happening.

This is the ensemble’s first UK premiere performance, including music by Vivaldi: Concerto for two violins op.3 no.8, Grieg: Holberg Suite and Elgar’s Serenade for Strings. Manchester Strings would like to specially thank the Emmanuel Church Didsbury and Mr. Bryan Fox for his recommendation.
